Esmeralda graduated with her master’s degree in Counseling & Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She’s currently licensed in the state of Minnesota and has been practicing as a fully licensed provider since July of 2024. Esmeralda is sole-provider & owner of Esmeralda PLLC. Her hope is that her space, Esme’s office, can also be space for those seeking personal growth.

As a Chicana therapist, Esmeralda understands the importance of culture & identity in the therapy space. She prioritizes & values a human-forward & collaborative approach to care. Her approach blends a variety of modalities that foster curiosity, self-compassion, & a sense of acceptance. During her career, Esmeralda has focused on advancing her understanding of complex & generational trauma. Her work focuses on emotional understanding, exploring aspects of identity, shame, & grief. Esmeralda is an advanced brainspotting therapist and often brings a neuro-experiential approach to understanding.
